Booking basics
Mobile bartenders book by the date, not the walk-in — popular Saturdays (especially May–October) go months out, so inquire early with your date, venue, guest count, and whether you want a full package or dry hire. Most will hold a date with a deposit and a signed agreement.
What hosts say again and again
“It was so fun to have a wine expert to chat with about the wine.”
From the reviews
We hired Shake and Tell for a wine party we hosted for friends. Sam was amazing! She’s extremely knowledgeable about wines and everyone really enjoyed learning about the different varietals and wine in general. She’s friendly, fun and a fantastic guide. She’s also extremely helpful which made set up a breeze.
10/10!!! Sam is incredibly knowledgeable and mixes right into an event! The event I attended was a wine party—-perfect for Shake & Tell. It was so fun to have a wine expert to chat with about the wine. And the mini breaks to learn more about the wine we were having was educational and fun.
We had an amazing experience with Shake & Tell! From the first message to the final pour, Sam’s communication was clear, professional, and incredibly helpful. The service was flawless—fun, engaging, and totally stress-free. Highly recommend for any private event!
Booking Shake & Tell for a wedding
Weddings come up for Shake & Tell — confirmed on their own site, so they'll know the rhythm of the day: cocktail hour hits all at once, then the bar settles into a steady hum until the last dance. Two numbers get your quote right. First, the staffing math: the standard rule is one bartender per 50–75 guests — so a 150-guest wedding usually means two to three bartenders, and going thin here is the classic cocktail-hour line mistake. Second, drinks per guest: plan on roughly two drinks in the first hour and one per hour after; a dry-hire bartender can turn that into an exact shopping list for your headcount so nothing runs out and nothing goes back to the store.
