Booking basics
Mobile bartenders book by the date, not the walk-in — popular Saturdays (especially May–October) go months out, so inquire early with your date, venue, guest count, and whether you want a full package or dry hire. Most will hold a date with a deposit and a signed agreement.
How they'll run your bar
“I had a destination wedding and they went above and beyond with wonderful suggestions to other local vendors, to sharing insightful info on the venue and area.”
“Our guests LOVED the signature cocktails—especially the tropical guava mule which honored our original Hawaiian wedding— and the root beer floats were also a hit.”
“She kept us apprised of logistical changes at our venue and some covid safety issues regarding beverage service as well.”

“Jordan was extremely professional, patient, and responsive to us throughout the whole process; and especially when we had to make some last-minute changes.”
“She also went above and beyond - from finding us a specific wine varietal we wanted that was off their menu to making sure we got our vision of having flower petals in our drinks.”
From the reviews
Shirey was my shining light throughout my planning process during covid. Every time I picked up the phone to call her, she was always kind, sweet, and so optimistic! She was in the know about all the covid guidelines, and at a whim was working with all my vendors to pull off my special day.
Working with Shirey was such a joy. She was helpful and communicative & responded so quickly to emails. My now wife and I had to reschedule our wedding from October 2020 to August 2021 and Shirey was with us every step of the way.
After we had to cancel our destination wedding in Hawaii (2020, need I say more), we found The Swig Rig and worked with them to plan a wedding in 2 months. Owner, Shirey, was one of our most helpful vendors.
I don’t even know where to begin on working with Shirey! She was an absolute lifesaver and the best to work with during the replanning process due to covid and then the wildfires! She was extremely communicative and understanding about every aspect and throughout the entire booking process.
Booking The Swig Rig for a wedding
Weddings come up for The Swig Rig — confirmed on their own site, so they'll know the rhythm of the day: cocktail hour hits all at once, then the bar settles into a steady hum until the last dance. Two numbers get your quote right. First, the staffing math: the standard rule is one bartender per 50–75 guests — so a 150-guest wedding usually means two to three bartenders, and going thin here is the classic cocktail-hour line mistake. Second, drinks per guest: plan on roughly two drinks in the first hour and one per hour after; a dry-hire bartender can turn that into an exact shopping list for your headcount so nothing runs out and nothing goes back to the store.
